Louis-Philippe, Duke of Montpensier
Louis-Philippe, Duke of Montpensier was a French nobleman born on August 24, 1824. He was the son of Louis-Philippe I, the King of the French, and was part of the House of Orléans. Montpensier played a significant role in the political landscape of France during the 19th century, particularly during the July Monarchy.
He is best known for his marriage to Maria Luisa of Spain, which strengthened ties between France and Spain. Montpensier was also involved in various military and diplomatic missions, reflecting the interests of his family in maintaining influence in European affairs. He died on May 4, 1890.
