Louis-Philippe I
Louis-Philippe I was the King of the French from 1830 to 1848, known as the "Citizen King" due to his middle-class background. He came to power after the July Revolution, which overthrew the Bourbon monarchy. His reign was marked by a focus on constitutional monarchy and economic growth, but also faced criticism for favoring the wealthy.
During his rule, Louis-Philippe I promoted industrialization and infrastructure development in France. However, his government struggled with social unrest and political opposition, leading to his abdication in 1848. This event marked the end of the July Monarchy and the beginning of the Second Republic.
