Louis VI
Louis VI, also known as Louis the Fat, was the King of France from 1108 until his death in 1137. He was born in 1081 and became known for his efforts to strengthen the royal authority in a time when many nobles held significant power. Louis VI worked to expand the influence of the monarchy and improve the administration of his kingdom.
During his reign, Louis VI focused on consolidating his territories and reducing the power of rebellious nobles. He was also a patron of the church, supporting the construction of monasteries and promoting religious reforms. His leadership helped lay the groundwork for the future expansion of the Capetian dynasty.
