Louis II, Duke of Nevers
Louis II, Duke of Nevers was a French nobleman born in 1610. He was the son of Louis I, Duke of Nevers and Marie de Gonzague. Louis II became known for his military service and was involved in various conflicts during the Franco-Spanish War.
In 1637, he was appointed as the governor of Dijon and later served as a commander in the royal army. Louis II was also a member of the House of Gonzaga, which had significant influence in European politics. He died in 1661, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty to the French crown.
