Louis Antoine de Saint-Just
Louis Antoine de Saint-Just was a prominent figure during the French Revolution, known for his strong political beliefs and close association with Maximilien Robespierre. Born on August 25, 1767, in Decize, France, he became a member of the National Convention and played a key role in the radical phase of the Revolution.
Saint-Just was often referred to as the "Angel of Death" due to his unwavering commitment to revolutionary ideals and his support for the Reign of Terror. He advocated for social justice and equality, believing in the necessity of harsh measures to achieve a republic based on virtue. His life ended when he was executed on July 28, 1794, during the Thermidorian Reaction.
