London Array
The London Array is a large offshore wind farm located in the outer Thames Estuary, near London, England. It consists of 175 wind turbines and has a total capacity of 630 megawatts, making it one of the largest wind farms in the world. The project was developed to generate renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions.
Construction of the London Array began in 2009, and it became fully operational in 2013. The wind farm provides electricity to approximately 500,000 homes, contributing to the UK's efforts to increase its use of renewable energy sources and combat climate change.
