Local Winds
Local winds are winds that occur in specific areas due to geographical features and temperature differences. They can be influenced by factors such as mountains, valleys, and bodies of water. These winds often change direction and speed based on the time of day and the local climate.
One common type of local wind is the sea breeze, which occurs when cooler air from the ocean moves inland to replace rising warm air over land. Conversely, a land breeze happens at night when the land cools faster than the sea, causing air to flow from the land to the sea.
