land breeze
A land breeze is a type of wind that occurs at night when the land cools down faster than the sea. As the land loses heat, the air above it becomes cooler and denser. This cooler air then moves toward the warmer air over the water, creating a gentle breeze that flows from the land to the sea.
Land breezes are most common in coastal areas, where the temperature difference between the land and the water is significant. This phenomenon is the opposite of a sea breeze, which occurs during the day when the land heats up more quickly than the water, causing air to flow from the sea to the land.
