Land Breeze
A land breeze is a type of wind that occurs at night when the land cools down faster than the sea. As the land loses heat, the air above it becomes cooler and denser, causing it to sink. This cooler air then moves toward the warmer air over the ocean, creating a breeze that flows from the land to the sea.
Land breezes are typically gentle and can influence local weather patterns. They are most common in coastal areas where the temperature difference between the land and the ocean is significant. This phenomenon is the opposite of a sea breeze, which occurs during the day.
