Lizzie Borden
Lizzie Borden was a woman from Fall River, Massachusetts, born on July 19, 1860. She is best known for being accused of the brutal murders of her father, Andrew Borden, and her stepmother, Abby Borden, in 1892. The case gained significant media attention and remains one of the most famous unsolved mysteries in American history.
Despite the evidence against her, Lizzie was acquitted of the charges in a highly publicized trial. The case raised questions about social class, gender roles, and the legal system of the time. Lizzie lived the rest of her life in relative obscurity until her death in 1927.
