Little Penguin
The Little Penguin, also known as the Fairy Penguin, is the smallest species of penguin, measuring about 12 to 13 inches tall. They are native to the southern coast of Australia and New Zealand, often found in coastal areas and on small islands. Their distinctive blue feathers and white bellies help them blend into the ocean when viewed from above and the sky when seen from below.
Little Penguins are social birds that live in large colonies. They primarily feed on small fish, squid, and crustaceans, which they catch while swimming. These penguins are known for their unique behavior of waddling on land and their loud, braying calls, especially during the breeding season.
