Fairy Penguin
The Fairy Penguin, also known as the Little Penguin, is the smallest species of penguin, standing about 12 to 13 inches tall. They are native to the southern coast of Australia and New Zealand. These penguins have a distinctive blue-gray plumage and a white belly, which helps them blend into their ocean environment.
Fairy Penguins are known for their unique behavior of returning to shore at dusk after a day of fishing. They primarily feed on small fish and crustaceans. These social birds often nest in burrows or under vegetation, and they are a popular attraction for wildlife enthusiasts.
