Linear A and B
Linear A and Linear B are ancient scripts used in the Aegean region. Linear A was developed by the Minoans around 1800 BCE and remains undeciphered, believed to represent their language. It was primarily used for administrative and religious purposes.
Linear B, on the other hand, emerged around 1450 BCE and was used by the Mycenaeans. It has been deciphered and is known to represent an early form of Greek. Linear B was also used for record-keeping, primarily on clay tablets, detailing economic transactions and inventories.
