Li Dynasty
The Li Dynasty was a short-lived Chinese dynasty that ruled from 907 to 923 AD during the chaotic period known as the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. It was founded by Li Keyong, a military leader who gained power in northern China. The dynasty is notable for its attempts to unify the region and restore stability after the fall of the Tang Dynasty.
Despite its efforts, the Li Dynasty faced challenges from rival states and internal strife. It ultimately fell to the Later Tang Dynasty, which succeeded it in 923 AD. The Li Dynasty's legacy is often overshadowed by the more prominent dynasties that followed, but it played a crucial role in the transitional period of Chinese history.
