Levitical Priests
Levitical Priests were members of the tribe of Levi in ancient Israel, designated to perform religious duties and rituals. They were responsible for maintaining the Tabernacle and later the Temple, offering sacrifices, and teaching the laws of Moses to the people. Their role was crucial in the spiritual life of the Israelite community.
These priests were set apart from other tribes and received no land inheritance, as their service to God was considered their primary duty. Instead, they were supported by offerings and tithes from the other tribes, ensuring they could focus on their religious responsibilities.
