Aaronic Priesthood
The Aaronic Priesthood is a religious office in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is named after Aaron, the brother of Moses, and is considered a lesser priesthood compared to the Melchizedek Priesthood. This priesthood is primarily responsible for performing ordinances such as baptism and administering the sacrament.
Members of the Aaronic Priesthood are typically young men aged 12 to 18. They are given opportunities to serve in various roles, such as deacon, teacher, and priest. The Aaronic Priesthood emphasizes service, leadership, and spiritual growth within the church community.
