Les Pucelles
Les Pucelles is a historical term that refers to a group of young women in medieval France, often associated with the court of King Louis XIV. These women were known for their beauty and charm, and they played a significant role in the social and cultural life of the time.
The term can also relate to the Pucelle d'Orléans, or Joan of Arc, a national heroine of France. She was a peasant girl who claimed to have received visions from God to support the French in the Hundred Years' War. Her bravery and leadership were pivotal in lifting the siege of Orléans in 1429.
