Leopold II of Austria
Leopold II of Austria was born on May 5, 1747, and became the Holy Roman Emperor in 1790. He was the son of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria Theresa, the influential Empress of Austria. Leopold II is known for his efforts to reform the Austrian Empire, focusing on economic improvements and administrative efficiency.
During his reign, Leopold II faced various challenges, including the aftermath of the French Revolution. He sought to maintain stability within his territories and was involved in the formation of the First Coalition against revolutionary France. He ruled until his death on March 1, 1792.
