Lemang
Lemang is a traditional Malaysian dish made from glutinous rice, coconut milk, and salt, cooked in bamboo tubes. The rice is soaked overnight, then mixed with coconut milk and packed tightly into the bamboo. It is then roasted over an open fire, which gives it a unique smoky flavor and a slightly chewy texture.
This dish is often enjoyed during festive occasions, especially during Eid celebrations. Lemang is typically served with rendang, a spicy meat dish, and is popular among various ethnic groups in Malaysia, showcasing the country's rich culinary heritage.
