Leib Bielski
Leib Bielski was a notable figure during World War II, known for his leadership in the Jewish resistance movement in Eastern Europe. He was born in 1910 in Belarus and became a key member of the Bielski partisans, a group that helped Jewish refugees escape the Nazi regime.
Bielski and his brothers established a camp in the forests of Narew, where they provided shelter and protection to Jews fleeing persecution. Their efforts saved the lives of over a thousand individuals, making them significant contributors to Jewish resistance during the Holocaust.
