Legislative Assembly of Uruguay
The Legislative Assembly of Uruguay is the country's primary legislative body, consisting of two chambers: the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. It is responsible for creating, amending, and repealing laws, as well as overseeing the executive branch. The Assembly meets in the capital city, Montevideo.
The Chamber of Deputies has 99 members, while the Senate is made up of 30 senators. Both chambers work together to represent the interests of the Uruguayan people and ensure democratic governance. Members are elected through a proportional representation system, reflecting the diverse political landscape of Uruguay.
