Leafy Seadragon
The Leafy Seadragon is a marine fish native to the waters of southern Australia. It is closely related to the seahorse and is known for its unique appearance, featuring long, leaf-like appendages that provide excellent camouflage among seaweed and kelp. These adaptations help it evade predators in its natural habitat.
Leafy Seadragons can grow up to 18 inches long and are typically yellow, green, or brown, allowing them to blend into their surroundings. They primarily feed on small crustaceans, such as zooplankton, by using their elongated snouts to suck in prey. These fascinating creatures are considered vulnerable due to habitat loss and environmental changes.
