Lau Tzu (Taoism)
Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosopher, is best known as the founder of Taoism. He is traditionally believed to have lived in the 6th century BCE and is credited with writing the Tao Te Ching, a foundational text of Taoist philosophy. Lao Tzu's teachings emphasize living in harmony with the Tao, or "the Way," which represents the natural order of the universe.
Taoism promotes simplicity, humility, and compassion, encouraging individuals to align themselves with the flow of life rather than resist it. Lao Tzu's ideas have influenced various aspects of Chinese culture, including art, politics, and medicine, and continue to inspire people around the world today.
