Latino Heritage Month
Latino Heritage Month is celebrated in the United States from September 15 to October 15 each year. This month honors the contributions and influence of Latino and Hispanic Americans in shaping the nation’s history and culture. The dates were chosen to coincide with the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
During this month, various events and activities take place, such as cultural festivals, educational programs, and community gatherings. These celebrations highlight the rich traditions, languages, and achievements of the Latino community, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of their diverse heritage.
