Later Zhou
The Later Zhou was a short-lived dynasty in China that lasted from 951 to 960 AD. It was the last of the Five Dynasties during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Founded by Zhou Dewei, the Later Zhou aimed to unify China after years of fragmentation and conflict.
The dynasty is known for its military strength and efforts to restore order. It successfully expanded its territory and improved governance, but it faced challenges from rival states. The Later Zhou ended when it was overthrown by Song Taizu, leading to the establishment of the Song Dynasty.
