Lassen Volcanic National Park
Lassen Volcanic National Park is located in northern California and is known for its unique geothermal features, including boiling springs, fumaroles, and mud pots. The park is home to Lassen Peak, an active volcano that last erupted in 1915, making it one of the few places in the United States where visitors can see volcanic activity.
The park covers over 106,000 acres and offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and wildlife viewing. It features numerous trails, including the popular Bumpass Hell trail, which leads to the park's largest geothermal area. Visitors can explore diverse ecosystems, from lush forests to alpine meadows.
