Langue D'oc
Langue d'oc is a historical group of Romance languages spoken in the southern regions of France, known as Occitania. It includes various dialects, such as Provençal and Languedocien, and is characterized by its distinct vocabulary and pronunciation compared to Langue d'oïl, the language of northern France.
The term "Langue d'oc" derives from the word "oc," meaning "yes" in these languages. This linguistic tradition has deep cultural roots, influencing literature, music, and regional identity. Although its use has declined, efforts continue to preserve and promote Occitan languages and culture in modern times.
