Laldenga
Laldenga was a prominent Indian politician and leader of the Mizo National Front (MNF), a political party in the state of Mizoram. He played a crucial role in the Mizo Nationalist movement during the 1960s and 1970s, advocating for the rights and autonomy of the Mizo people. His leadership was instrumental in the Mizo insurgency, which sought greater self-determination.
In 1986, after years of conflict, Laldenga signed the Mizo Peace Accord with the Indian government, leading to the establishment of Mizoram as a state. He later served as the Chief Minister of Mizoram, contributing to the region's development and peace-building efforts.
