Lake Ballard Sculptures
The Lake Ballard Sculptures are a collection of 51 life-sized sculptures created by artist Anthony Gormley in 2003. Located in Lake Ballard, Western Australia, these sculptures are made from aluminum and are designed to blend into the surrounding landscape. They represent the local community and are positioned on the dry lakebed, creating a unique interaction between art and nature.
The project was commissioned as part of the Lake Ballard Sculpture Project, which aimed to promote tourism and celebrate the area's cultural heritage. Visitors can walk among the sculptures, experiencing both the art and the vast, open environment of the lake.
