Lake Ballard Sculpture Project
The Lake Ballard Sculpture Project is an outdoor art installation located in the remote region of Western Australia. It features 51 life-sized sculptures created by artist Anthony Gormley, representing the local community. The sculptures are made from a mix of materials, including aluminum, and are spread across the dry lakebed of Lake Ballard.
The project was completed in 2003 and aims to connect art with the natural landscape. Visitors can walk among the sculptures, which are positioned to reflect the unique environment of the area. The installation has become a popular attraction, drawing art enthusiasts and tourists alike.
