Lake Ballard
Lake Ballard is a large salt lake located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 80 square kilometers and is known for its striking white salt crust, which forms during dry periods. The lake is situated about 51 kilometers northeast of the town of Menzies.
The lake is also famous for the Lake Ballard Sculptures, a collection of 51 life-sized sculptures created by artist Anthony Gormley in 2003. These sculptures are scattered across the lake's surface and represent the local community. The unique landscape and art installations attract visitors, making it a popular destination for tourists and photographers.
