Salt Lake, often referred to as Salt Lake City, is the capital and largest city of the state of Utah in the United States. It was founded in 1847 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by Brigham Young. The city is known for its stunning mountain views and is situated near the Great Salt Lake, which is the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere.
The area is famous for its outdoor recreational activities, including skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Salt Lake City also hosts the Winter Olympics in 2002 and is home to several cultural institutions, such as the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and the Hogle Zoo.
