Lajos Kossuth
Lajos Kossuth was a Hungarian lawyer, politician, and governor who played a significant role in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. Born on September 19, 1802, he became a leading figure advocating for Hungarian independence from the Austrian Empire. Kossuth's efforts included promoting civil rights and national self-determination.
After the revolution was suppressed, Kossuth went into exile, traveling across Europe and the United States to garner support for Hungarian independence. He became a symbol of national pride and is remembered as a key figure in Hungary's struggle for freedom and democracy. Kossuth died on March 20, 1894.
