Ladislaus III
Ladislaus III, also known as Ladislaus the Posthumous, was a King of Hungary and Croatia from 1440 until his death in 1457. Born in 1440, he was the son of Albert II of Germany and Elizabeth of Luxembourg. His reign was marked by political instability and conflicts with the Ottoman Empire, which was expanding into Europe during this period.
Despite being king, Ladislaus was often under the influence of powerful nobles and foreign powers. His rule ended when he died in battle against the Ottomans at the age of 17, leaving Hungary in a vulnerable position. His death led to a power struggle and further challenges for the kingdom.
