Ladislaus the Posthumous
Ladislaus the Posthumous was a Hungarian king born in 1440, shortly after the death of his father, Albert II of Germany. His unusual birth led to his nickname, as he was born posthumously. Ladislaus became king of Hungary and Croatia in 1445, but his reign was marked by political instability and conflict among various factions.
Despite being king, Ladislaus struggled to assert his authority due to his young age and the influence of powerful nobles. He faced challenges from rival claimants and foreign powers, including the Ottoman Empire. Ladislaus died in 1457 at the age of 17, leaving behind a tumultuous legacy.
