Casimir III
Casimir III, also known as Casimir the Great, was the King of Poland from 1333 to 1370. He was the last ruler of the Piast dynasty and is remembered for his efforts to strengthen the Polish state. His reign saw significant territorial expansion and the establishment of a more centralized government.
Under Casimir III, Poland experienced economic growth and cultural development. He founded several towns and promoted trade, which helped improve the country's prosperity. Additionally, he is known for his legal reforms, including the creation of the Statute of Wiślica, which aimed to standardize laws across the kingdom.
