La Purisima Mission State Historic Park
La Purisima Mission State Historic Park is located in Lompoc, California and is one of the best-preserved missions in the California Mission System. Established in 1787, it was the eleventh mission founded by Father Junípero Serra and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, known as "La Purísima Concepción."
The park covers over 1,800 acres and features restored buildings, gardens, and walking trails. Visitors can explore the mission's historical significance through exhibits and reenactments, providing insight into the daily life of the Chumash people and the Spanish missionaries during the 18th and 19th centuries.
