Lúcia dos Santos
Lúcia dos Santos was a Portuguese shepherd girl born on March 28, 1907, in Aljustrel, Portugal. She is best known for her role in the Fatima apparitions, where she reported seeing visions of the Virgin Mary in 1917, along with her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. These events attracted significant attention and led to the site becoming a major pilgrimage destination.
Lúcia later became a nun and lived a life dedicated to her faith. She wrote extensively about her experiences and the messages she received during the apparitions. Lúcia passed away on February 13, 2005, and was beatified in 2008, further solidifying her importance in Catholic history.
