Kurinjimala Sanctuary
Kurinjimala Sanctuary is a protected area located in the Western Ghats of India, specifically in the state of Kerala. Established in 2006, it spans approximately 32 square kilometers and is known for its rich biodiversity, including various endemic species of flora and fauna. The sanctuary is particularly famous for the blooming of the Neelakurinji flower, which occurs once every 12 years.
