Kuningan
Kuningan is a traditional Indonesian celebration that marks the end of the Galungan festival. It is observed by the Hindu community in Bali and typically occurs every 210 days, according to the Balinese calendar. During Kuningan, families honor their ancestors and deities by making offerings and performing rituals at temples and homes.
The celebration is characterized by the use of yellow rice, known as nasi kuning, which symbolizes prosperity and purity. People also decorate their homes with penjor, tall bamboo poles adorned with various offerings. Kuningan serves as a time for reflection, gratitude, and community bonding.
