Kukui tree
The Kukui tree, also known as the candlenut tree, is native to the tropical regions of the Pacific Islands, particularly Hawaii. It can grow up to 50 feet tall and features large, glossy leaves and clusters of small, white flowers. The tree produces round, hard nuts that contain a high oil content, which can be used for various purposes.
Traditionally, the Kukui tree has held cultural significance for the Hawaiian people. The nuts were used to create candles, hence the name "candlenut." Additionally, the oil extracted from the nuts has been utilized in cooking, skin care, and traditional medicine.
