Kri-Kri Goat
The Kri-Kri goat, also known as the Cretan goat, is a wild goat species native to the Greek island of Crete. It is characterized by its long, curved horns and a robust body, typically weighing between 30 to 50 kilograms. The Kri-Kri has a shaggy coat that varies in color, often ranging from brown to gray, which helps it blend into its rocky habitat.
These goats are primarily herbivorous, feeding on grasses, shrubs, and herbs found in their mountainous environment. The Kri-Kri is considered a symbol of Cretan wildlife and is protected by law due to its declining population, largely caused by habitat loss and hunting.
