Korean rhododendron
The Korean rhododendron, known scientifically as Rhododendron mucronulatum, is a deciduous shrub native to the mountainous regions of Korea and parts of China. It typically grows between 1 to 3 meters tall and is recognized for its vibrant pink to purple flowers that bloom in early spring before the leaves appear.
This plant thrives in well-drained, acidic soils and prefers partial shade to full sun. The Korean rhododendron is often used in gardens and landscapes for its ornamental value and is also valued for its ability to attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.
