Korean Provisional Government
The Korean Provisional Government was established in 1919 in response to the Japanese occupation of Korea. It aimed to promote Korean independence and represent the Korean people on the international stage. The government operated in exile, primarily in Shanghai, China, and sought support from other nations to gain recognition for Korea's sovereignty.
The provisional government was composed of various political factions, including members of the Korean National Association and other nationalist groups. It played a crucial role in organizing resistance against Japanese rule and laid the groundwork for future movements that ultimately led to Korea's liberation in 1945.
