Komi language
The Komi language is a Uralic language spoken primarily by the Komi people in the northeastern part of Russia. It belongs to the Permic branch of the Uralic language family and has two main dialects: Komi-Zyryan and Komi-Permyak. The language uses the Cyrillic script and has a rich oral tradition, with many folk tales and songs.
Komi is recognized as a minority language in Russia and has been influenced by neighboring languages, including Russian. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language through education and cultural initiatives, as it faces challenges from declining numbers of speakers.
