Klyuchevskaya
Klyuchevskaya is the highest active volcano in Russia, standing at 4,750 meters (15,584 feet) tall. Located in the Kamchatka Peninsula, it is part of the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes, which features several other significant peaks. The volcano is known for its symmetrical cone shape and frequent eruptions, making it a prominent feature of the region's landscape.
The first recorded eruption of Klyuchevskaya occurred in 1697, and it has since erupted over 100 times. Its eruptions are primarily explosive, producing ash clouds that can reach high altitudes. The surrounding area is a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its unique geological features and biodiversity.
