Kipchoge Keino
Kipchoge Keino is a retired Kenyan middle-distance runner, born on January 17, 1939. He is best known for his remarkable achievements in the 1500 meters and 5000 meters events during the 1960s and 1970s. Keino won two gold medals at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and a silver medal at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. His performances helped elevate the profile of Kenyan athletics on the global stage.
