Kingdom of Yugoslavia
The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was a country in Southeast Europe that existed from 1918 to 1943. It was formed after World War I, uniting several ethnic groups, including Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. The kingdom aimed to create a unified state for South Slavic peoples but faced internal conflicts and political challenges.
In 1941, during World War II, the kingdom was invaded by Axis powers and subsequently dissolved. The monarchy was replaced by a communist regime led by Josip Broz Tito, which established the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. This new state lasted until the early 1990s, when it eventually broke apart into several independent countries.
