King Xiang of Yan
King Xiang of Yan was a ruler of the ancient Chinese state of Yan during the Warring States period. He reigned from 311 to 279 BCE and is known for his efforts to strengthen his state against rival powers. His leadership was marked by military campaigns and alliances aimed at expanding Yan's influence.
During his reign, King Xiang faced challenges from neighboring states, particularly Qi and Zhao. He is remembered for his attempts to modernize the military and improve governance, which contributed to the state's resilience in a time of constant conflict. His reign ultimately ended with his death in battle.
