King Huai of Yan
King Huai of Yan was a ruler of the ancient Chinese state of Yan during the Warring States period. He reigned from 325 to 299 BCE and is known for his efforts to strengthen his state through alliances and military reforms. His leadership was marked by attempts to consolidate power and improve the economy.
Despite his efforts, King Huai faced challenges from rival states, particularly Qin, which was expanding its influence. His reign ended when he was captured and killed by the forces of Qin, highlighting the intense power struggles of the time.
